"When looking for a builder we wanted to go with someone who was interested in taking on the passive housework in a less-than-ideal situation (early 20th century terrace). Our main concern at first was that we wanted to convert the attic into a usable space, but when we saw that it would be impractical and expensive to work on the house in multiple stages we decided to go for a full build. 345 absolutely went above and beyond for us - we had some rough ideas of how we wanted to go ahead with the build, but Tomi really helped us to dial in on the specifics for each of the changes we were making from his past experience and clear expertise. Tomi was never afraid to pitch ideas for interesting things we could consider for our build! Additionally, 345 really put in a great effort to make the home airtight for the passive housework - we knew it wouldn’t get as low as a new build or a full teardown, but Tomi worked hard to get us as close as possible. We are thrilled with the attic space, the 345 team was able to install a dormer window that just looks fantastic and convert the space from a leaky roof cavity to one of the best rooms in the house. The team at 345 were very professional. Tomi did a great job of managing the various suppliers and vendors coming and going through the life of the project, and he showed obvious expertise with knowing what would work well and what wouldn’t. I (David) work in IT project management and have literally never had a project go to plan the way this build did; it’s obvious how experienced 345 are with dealing with these builds and where time was likely to be lost. We are so happy with the end result and we feel we got great value for money - we plan to live in the house for the next 10 years or more, so for us this was just a great investment in our overall quality of life. We absolutely recommend the team at 345 for any works, large or small, on the strength of the work done for our home - our feeling was that a ‘big box’ builder wouldn’t be willing or capable of working with us knowing that we didn’t have a precise idea of exactly what we wanted, and likely wouldn’t be interested in the passive house work".
